About Winchester Observatory
Built around 2003, the observatory is housed under a 6-foot diameter dome and centred on a 10-inch f/6.3 Meade LX200 computerised telescope. It was designed to be automated enough for extended, unattended observing runs using largely off-the-shelf hardware.
