UZAYMER Observatory, the research arm of Cukurova University's Space Sciences and Solar Energy Research and Application Center, has studied the sky from Adana, Turkey since 1991.
About UZAYMER Observatory
Founded in 1991 in the Saricam district of Adana, UZAYMER combines astronomy and astrophysics research with solar energy studies, and takes part in both national and international scientific collaborations.
Telescopes & research
The observatory's main instrument is the 50-centimetre UT50 telescope. Site-quality assessments have ranked UZAYMER 972nd out of 2,141 observatories worldwide on the Suitability Index for Astronomical Sites (SIAS), placing it in the index's Group A.
