About Rokycany Observatory
The observatory operates dual sites, one in Rokycany and one in Plzeň (Pilsen), and is an active member of the Czech Astronomical Society, running its own Occultation and Astrometry Section.
Telescopes & research
Beyond public viewing, the observatory's astronomy society members contribute to occultation and astrometry work, and the site runs a planetarium with shows and VR experiences for visitors when weather rules out live observing.

Rokycany Observatory is in the Czech Republic, with its main site in Rokycany and a sister facility in Plzeň. The Rokycany site reopened on 21 May 2026 after a period of renovation.
Visiting Rokycany Observatory
