About Piconcillo Observatory

Piconcillo is best known as a remote telescope hosting site, developed by Slovak astronomer Pavol A. Dubovsky, where instruments can be operated by observers located anywhere in the world. The facility consists of two to three pavilions with sliding roofs, each around 5 by 7 metres, housing remotely controlled telescopes.

The site sits in the Andalusian countryside near Fuente Obejuna, Córdoba province, an area valued for its dark, low-light-pollution skies.
