About Northwest Indiana Robotic Telescope
The instrument is an NSF-funded, robotic 20-inch Ritchey-Chrétien reflecting telescope fitted with a wide-field CCD imager, capable of being operated on-site or remotely over the internet from anywhere in the world.
Telescopes & research
Purdue Northwest uses the telescope in introductory astronomy laboratory courses, and student observing campaigns have monitored quasar variability, blue stragglers in open star clusters, and exoplanet transit events.
