About Fernbank Observatory

Officially known as the Dr. Ralph L. Buice, Jr. Observatory, the facility is owned and operated by the Fernbank Science Center. Its centerpiece is a 0.9144-meter (36-inch) Cassegrain telescope, housed beneath a 10-meter (33-foot) dome that has become a familiar sight on the Atlanta skyline.
