About the National Space Facilities Control and Test Center

Established in 1996, the center is a state institution originally created under Ukraine's State Space Agency to manage space flight operations, deep-space research, space and geophysical monitoring, and the testing of space technology. It grew out of the site long known as the Yevpatoria Deep Space Communications Center. Following the 2014 annexation of Crimea, the center's headquarters relocated from Yevpatoria to Kyiv, though facilities and instruments including the AZT-28 telescope remain associated with the original site.
