Barkhatova Kourovka Astronomical Observatory, this facility in Kourovka, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia, is operated by the Institute of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, part of Ural Federal University. It's named after K.A. Barkhatova, a Soviet astronomer and former professor at the university.
History
The observatory was founded in 1965 and has operated as a research site for Ural Federal University ever since.
