Grocka Magnetic Observatory is a geomagnetic monitoring station near Brestovik, in the Grocka municipality of Serbia, not far from Belgrade.
About Grocka Magnetic Observatory
Unlike a stargazing observatory, Grocka is a geophysical facility: it continuously measures variations in Earth's magnetic field. It is maintained jointly by the Geomagnetic Institute Grocka and the Republic Geodetic Institute, and it is registered internationally under the observatory code GCK.
Telescopes & research
Grocka forms part of INTERMAGNET, the international network of magnetic observatories. It records minute, hourly, and daily vector values of the magnetic field along with K indices, data used by researchers studying geomagnetic activity and space weather.
