About Granda Observatory

The observatory, located near Ganda di Aviatico in the province of Bergamo, has been developed since 1995 by the Circolo Astrofili Bergamaschi (Bergamo Astronomy Circle). Sitting at around 1,200 metres of elevation in the Orobie Pre-Alps, it combines public outreach with ongoing amateur research, including observation of variable stars by club members.
