Cosmos Sterrenwacht is a public observatory and planetarium in Lattrop, in the Twente region of the eastern Netherlands, sited under some of the country's darkest skies.

Cosmos Sterrenwacht has been operating for more than 60 years and is among the largest observatories in the Netherlands. It runs as an ANBI-registered public benefit organisation, and its facilities include a planetarium with live astro-theatre shows, computer-controlled telescopes, solar observation equipment, a wheelchair-accessible telescope, and meeting space for groups.

The observatory sits in Lattrop, Twente, in the eastern Netherlands, close to the German border, in one of the country's darkest astronomical locations away from the light domes of larger Dutch cities.

Visiting Cosmos Sterrenwacht

The observatory is open to the public, with evening stargazing sessions held on Friday and Saturday nights and daytime planetarium visits available too. It also runs children's programmes, school group visits, group bookings, and special events for solar eclipses and meteor showers.
