About Atlas Golf Marrakech

The site's Centre Culturel combines an observatory with a Fossils and Minerals Museum, whose collection includes the Tamdakht and Marshal Tissint meteorites. The observatory itself houses the largest telescope in Morocco, a 600 mm T600 Valmeca instrument, alongside a 350 mm Celestron C14, a 355 mm Dobsonian, a Coronado solar telescope, and a siderostat used for continuous solar projection.

With that range of instruments, the observatory covers both night-sky viewing and solar observation, using the Coronado telescope and siderostat to project the Sun's surface for visitors during the day and the larger reflectors for deep-sky targets after dark.

Visiting Atlas Golf Marrakech

Public observation nights are held every Friday, giving visitors the chance to look through Morocco's largest telescope and tour the adjoining meteorite and mineral museum in the same trip.
