Argentine Association of Amateur Astronomers

The Asociación Argentina Amigos de la Astronomía (Argentine Association of the Friends of Astronomy, commonly known as AAAA) is a civil association dedicated to advancing and popularizing astronomy in Argentina. Based in Buenos Aires since 1929, it has been a leading voice in amateur astronomy for nearly a century.

About the Association

The AAAA operates under the motto of spreading astronomy and promoting public engagement with the night sky. The main-belt asteroid 4756 Asaramas was named in honour of the observatory and its contributions to astronomy.
